Making a mouse pointer larger

You can change the settings of the mouse so that the cursor is larger and therefore more visible for young children gaining mouse control. As well as adding a child sized mouse and finding appropriate software this is one of the things that really helps children gain mouse control.

  • Click on the My Computer icon.

  • Click on the control Panel, you will see a selection of icons appear, select mouse.

  • A window with mouse properties will appear.

  • Click on the Pointers tab and the then go to Scheme.

  • Select 'Windows Standard (extra large)

  • Click on Apply and then click OK

  • The cursor will now be larger.
